Boleslawiec, Poland is host to a large pottery festival every year, during the last week of August. You’ll be in Polish Pottery heaven strolling the downtown, visiting each manufacturer’s booth to select your favorite pieces! Come prepared with your rolling shopping bags! This fair is not only a chance for all the Polish stoneware producers to compete, but it’s the perfect setting to educate the public about how it’s made and the history of Polish pottery in general. You’ll see how different artisans create so many beautiful and varied images, and you’ll be able to appreciate the differences in these beautiful handmade pieces. It’s fun for the whole family, with live music and performances on stage, as well as competitions where you’ll get hands-on experience of what it takes to create some Polish pottery.
